11 Jun James Bond – Skyfall – The Dead Island
Skyfall, the most recent James Bond movie, visited the “Dead Island”, which is in located near Japan. The Google Special Collects department have been out and have captured this fantasic, but somewhat frightening place.
Once a bustling community in the 1970′s when it was build for the coal industry, it now stands crumbling, so it’s fantastic that the Special Collects Team have been able to explore the island and capture it for everyone to see.
Unlike Google Business Photos, or as we prefer to call it Street View Inside, the Google Special Collects Team have access to a special backpack, which is perfect for large open areas. They have utilised some of the great features that are avilable in Google Business Photos, namely Multi Floor, which allows multiple floors to be shown without the need for you to actually have a walkable path, excellent for showing off different types of rooms or meeting spaces within a business.
We will be continuing to use our depedicated equipment to produce fantastic images for businesses in the UK and Europe, that is until Google supply us with our back packs.
All you James Bonds fans, enjoy the tour and see if you can find the location where the actual footage for the film was shot… happy exploring.
